医薬品分子設計の機械学習分野におけるポスドク研究員（契約社員（有期５年））/Postdoctoral Researcher - Machine Learning for Drug Design（Contract employee (5 years fixed term)）

職務内容／Job duties 募集の背景： *当社ではこの度、より独自で先端的な取り組みを積極的に推進し、将来のコアとなる技術基盤の確立を行うことを目的に「ポスドク制度」を新設します。ポスドク研究員の皆様には、ご自身の専門性を存分に発揮しながら新たなチャレンジに取り組んでいただき、当社の創薬研究に貢献いただくことはもちろん、対外発表にも積極的に取り組んでいただきます。 独自の抗体エンジニアリング技術や低中分子といった多様なモダリティにおける高度な研究基盤を有する当社では、革新的な医薬品を継続的に創製するため、候補化合物の分子デザインを含む創薬に応用可能な機械学習技術の開発や創薬プロジェクトに対する機械学習技術の適用を積極的に進めています。自社の創薬プラットフォームから多様かつ大量のデータが得られることが我々の競争力の源泉あり、このデータと機械学習技術を活用することで競争力をさらに強化することができます。医薬品分子の創製に関わる機械学習技術の進歩は非常に早く、最新の技術をキャッチアップし、創薬研究の加速に寄与する技術を同定し、活用していくことが重要になっています。このような背景から、既存技術の転用に留まらない独自かつ高度な機械学習技術の開発を行う機械学習分野のポスドク研究員*を求めています。 仕事内容： ご本人の希望やこれまでの経験・スキルに応じて以下のような研究に取り組んでいただきます。 ・医薬品分子設計に必要な機械学習技術の開発（分子表現学習、分子生成／配座生成モデル、物性／活性予測モデル、PEFT技術、in-context learning等） ・開発した技術に関する論文投稿／学会発表 Background to recruitment： *Chugai Pharmaceutical is establishing a new ""Postdoctoral Program"" with the aim of actively promoting more unique and advanced initiatives and establishing a technological foundation that will become a core in the future. We encourage postdoctoral researchers to fully utilize their expertise while taking on new challenges, contributing to our drug discovery research, and actively engaging in external presentations. Chugai is a company who possesses advanced research foundations in diverse modalities such as unique antibody engineering technologies and small/mid-size molecules. In order to continuously create innovative drugs, we are actively advancing the development of machine learning technologies applicable to drug discovery, including molecular design of candidate compounds, and their application to drug discovery projects. The diverse and large volume of data obtained from our drug discovery platform is the source of our competitive advantage, and by utilizing this data and machine learning technologies, we can further strengthen our competitiveness. The progress of machine learning technologies related to the creation of pharmaceutical molecules is very rapid, and it is important to catch up with the latest technologies, identify technologies that contribute to the acceleration of drug discovery research, and utilize them. Against this background, we are seeking postdoctoral researchers in the field of machine learning to develop unique and advanced machine learning technologies that go beyond the mere application of existing technologies. Description of work： Depending on your preferences and previous experience/skills, you will be involved in the following research: ・Development of machine learning technologies necessary for molecular design of drugs (including molecular representation learning, molecular generation/conformation generation models, property/activity prediction models, PEFT technology, in-context learning, etc.) ・Publication of papers and presentations at academic conferences related to the developed technologies  応募資格／Qualifications 求める経験 ・国際会議あるいは学術誌での機械学習に関する論文採択経験 (必須) ・バイオインフォマティクス、ケモインフォマティクス分野での研究経験 (尚可) ・生体分子モデリング／分子シミュレーションの活用経験 (尚可) Desired experience: ・Experience in publication of research papers related to machine learning at international conferences or academic journals. (must) ・Research experience in bioinformatics or cheminformatics. (nice to have) ・Experience in utilizing biomolecular modeling/molecular simulation. (nice to have) 求めるスキル・知識・能力 ・医学・薬学・理学・情報学・工学系の博士号（必須） ・Python, Pytorchによるプログラミング能力（必須） ・異分野の専門家と共同で研究を推進できるコミュニケーション能力（必須） Desired skills/knowledge/abilities: ・Doctoral degree in in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, science, informatics, or engineering. (must) ・Expertise in programming with Python and Pytorch. (must) ・Communication skills to collaborate with experts from different fields to advance research. During the first three months of employment, the flex-time system will be in effect. 労働契約は、毎年1月に更新し、更新は4回までとします。（労働期間は最長5年まで） なお、労働契約期間中に条件を満たした方に対し正社員への転採用の制度がございます。 The labor contract shall be renewed in January of each year and may be renewed up to 4 times. (The maximum working period is 5 years.)
