The primary responsibilities of the Global Compliance Business Partner - Chief Manufacturing Supply chain Officer(CMSO) include providing support to the Global GRC BP Lead - Executive Director (EDCO) to define implement and lead the Olympus Compliance Management System for identified Olympus entities, divisions, business groups in particular CMSO globally.

The incumbent will work in close alignment with the EDCO as well as division business group and function leadership to develop and continuously improve the Olympus Compliance Management System and will be directly responsible for supporting and providing Compliance direction and guidance to assigned entities, divisions, business groups, and functions to ensure employees have the resources needed to conduct their business with the highest level of compliance and integrity.

As a participant in the leadership of the CMSO, the incumbent will engage with Olympus leadership and senior management on a regular basis to develop strategic priorities necessary to ensure the Company's Compliance Management System is effective and appropriate Compliance resources and support are appropriately engaged. The incumbent works with all members and levels of the Olympus Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Internal Audit, It and Procurement and other functional and business areas and outside resources to ensure that Compliance Management System requirements are fulfilled in an appropriate manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
• Assists the EDCO in enhancing further developing implementing maintaining continuously improving and leading Olympus's Compliance Management System to ensure that it: supports and promotes a company-wide culture of compliance; enhances the reputation of Olympus and minimizes risks of non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations; and meets or exceeds the standards set forth in published governmental guidance.
• Provides advice and day to day proactive ethics and compliance guidance to the CMSO.
• Serves as the liaison between Compliance (all regions) and the CMSO and aligns with regional and local Compliance Business Partners on CMSO related matters, strategic developments, risk assessment and mitigation strategy
• Identifies creative compliant solutions to support the business in achieving goals and strategies leveraging other Compliance resources across the global company as appropriate.
• Serves as principal Compliance Officer for and is directly responsible to provide compliance direction and guidance to the CMSO on a broad range of compliance obligations with Olympus policies, procedures, written standards, risks and risk minimization strategies, actual and potential compliance-related issues, continuous improvement opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Provides continuous leadership and collaborates with members of the global Compliance and Legal functions and other functional and business areas within Olympus to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to ensure compliance with any agreements or settlements with any government or regulatory agencies.
• Serve and participate as a representative of the Compliance function on select leadership committees.
• Oversee and/or lead the development, revision, and implementation of compliance policies procedures and written standards, collaborates with business stakeholders in addressing their written standards and control documentation relating to or impacting the Compliance Management System, contribute to the development improvement and implementation of a broad range of innovative training education and communication plans and tools to drive understanding of Compliance Management System requirements, and encourage employee ownership of compliance.
• Proactively support and perform risk assessments, monitoring, testing, and analysis processes to continuously evaluate risk areas and priorities to guide new compliance activities and continuous improvement efforts.
• Prepare and present reports and dashboards to management regarding the Compliance Management System and key performance indicators to demonstrate Compliance Management System effectiveness.
• Possess and maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations, as well as industry standards, trends, and developments applicable to the operations of the entities, divisions, businesses, groups, and functions supported.


【職務概要】
Governance Risk Compliance Business Partner - Chief Manufacturing Supply Officer担当(以下、GRC Business Partner CMSO担当)の主な役割は、GRC Business Partner Lead(以下、EDCO) をサポートし、製造・サプライチェーン部門(CMSO)に対する、コンプライアンス管理体制を構築し実行することです。

本ポジションは、EDCOやCMSOのリーダーたちと緊密に連携し、コンプライアンス管理システムを継続的に改善し、運用していきます。また、CMSO組織に対して、コンプライアンスに関する指針の提示や助言の提供し、CMSO組織が高いコンプライアンス基準を守りながら業務を行えるよう、必要なサポートを行います。

さらに、CMSOのリーダーシップチームの一員として、経営陣や上級管理職と協力し、コンプライアンス体制が機能するための必要なリソースの提供をします。また外部の専門家とも連携し、全社的にコンプライアンス要件が満たされるよう尽力します。


【主な職務内容と責任】
1. EDCOと連携し、コンプライアンス管理システムの継続改善をする
  また、CMSO組織における法律や規制の非遵守リスクを最小限に抑える
2. CMSO組織にコンプライアンスの指導とアドバイスをする
3. コンプライアンスチームとCMSO組織との間の連絡役として、CMSO組織のリスク評価、リスク軽減施策を展開する
4. ビジネスの目標や戦略を達成するために、創造的かつコンプライアンスを遵守したソリューションを設定し、必要に応じたリソースを活用する
5. 政府や規制当局のコンプライアンス基準を満たすための適切な措置を講じる
6. CMSOのリーダーシップ会議に、コンプライアンス代表として参加する
7. 自身のコンプライアンス管理システムの要件に対する理解を深め、CMSO組織のコンプライアンス意識を高めるためのトレーニングや教育、コミュニケーション計画およびツールの開発に貢献する
9. リスクの分析及び評価を行い、優先対応事項を割り出し、新たなコンプライアンス活動と改善施策を実行する
10. コンプライアンス管理システムおよび主要業績評価指標に関する報告書を作成し、経営陣にプレゼンテーションを行う
11. CMSO組織に関連する法律、規制、マーケットトレンドについて継続的に最新の知識をインプットする

応募資格/Qualifications [Job Requirements]
• Bachelor's Degree and MBA, LLM, J.D. or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience is required.
• A minimum of 10 years post qualification experience and/or in compliance management system or relevant legal experience is required; medical device pharmaceutical or life science industries experience with experience implementing compliance management systems and an understanding of sales and marketing practices and medical affairs priorities highly preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience of directly or laterally leading, managing and developing people required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations across jurisdictions impacting compliance management systems is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to lead through influence as well as authority with proven ability to work cross-functionally in an international context. Strong English skills in written and oral communication, TOEFL score not below 100 /Japan TOEIC not below 700
• Strong executive leadership and excellent executive communication skills required.
→This is also a requirement for manager position.
• Skilled in planning and project management, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure while meeting multiple project deadlines.

• Ability to travel domestically in Japan and globally up to 50%.
