【職務内容】
(雇入れ直後 / Immediately after hiring)
The Head of Japan IT Operation responsible for delivering the financial planning and operating processes which provide the new Japan IT Leadership Team, all IT functions and senior stakeholders / management boards across all divisions with the right insight, information and analytics to improve IT Financial Management and Operation to hit the budget target and gain the efficiency of the team.
【Senior Leadership and Engagement】
‐On behalf of the function, lead engagement with the other functions (in particular, Finance) to influence and coordinate processes and outputs to get the most effective outcomes.
‐Provide thought leadership by bringing innovative approaches to the IT financial strategy, planning and forecasting processing that results in a greater level of engagement and understanding across the function and in the wider business.
‐Develop data and analytics solutions that help the business and IT leaders understand and make informed decisions about their technology investments in order to capitalize on cost efficiencies, new opportunities and drive innovation within their organization.
‐Engage with other Corporate Strategy and Management Functions within Olympus to ensure connection and alignment to IT.
【IT Financial Management】
‐Establish a structure to monitor and analyze financial performance of the IT organization, including guidelines, processes, and procedures to be adhered to by all relevant teams.
‐Oversee the planning and management of financials and budget, including the definition of cost / charging models, setting, and negotiating targets and ensuring adequate funding.
‐Provide the direction and leadership to make the team give IT financial operation across all Japan IT functions.
‐Identify the opportunity to be standardized or outsourced. When the opportunity is identified, execute necessary actions including the developing SOP and migration to the outsourcer(s).
‐Provide senior management and other key stakeholders with statements and analysis reports that provide insights into efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
【IT Operation Management】

Technical Competencies
‐Strategic planning - Lead and manage the creation or review of a strategy which aligns with the requirements of the business. Set policies, standards, and guidelines for strategy development and planning, and embed the processes into the organization's strategic management framework.
‐Financial management - Lead and advise on financial planning, budgeting, accounting and charging. Also use recognized accounting practices and standards, as well as develop organizational policies, standards and guidelines. Lead and advise on analysis of actual expenditure and optimization opportunities.
‐Measurement - Lead the development of organizational capabilities and a measurement framework aligned with business objectives and reviews supporting data collection and storage mechanisms. Provides advice and guidance for effective use of measures and measurement.
‐Quality management - Prioritize areas for quality improvement by considering strategy, business objectives and results from internal and external audits. Advise on the application of appropriate quality management techniques and standards. Lead improvements to processes by changing approaches and working practices, typically using recognized models.
‐Consultancy - Deliver analysis and problem resolution based on an understanding of business objectives and requirements. Collaborate with, and facilitate stakeholder groups, in order to address business needs and implement solutions if required.
‐Methods and tools - Lead development of organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools. Lead the introduction and use of techniques, methodologies and tools to meet business requirements. Also provide advice on the adoption at program, project and team level.
‐Investment appraisal - Lead investment appraisal activities. Advise on investment appraisal approaches and tailors organizational standards to the context of portfolios/programs.
‐Feasibility assessment - Collaborate with stakeholders to lead the development of a feasibility assessment and business case, including cost/benefit, impact and risk analysis for multiple options.
‐Business modelling - Lead development of models in support of the business strategy and bespoke models for unusual contexts. Has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of industry-wide modelling techniques and advises on the choice of techniques and approaches and influences customers accordingly.
‐Benefits management - Lead the development and activities of a benefits management framework and approach to ensure maximized benefits are realized as groups of projects are delivered, with a focus on business objectives. Advise on the identification and planning of metrics and mechanisms to measure benefits and their realization.
‐Performance management - Manage senior individuals and groups. Determines and delegates management responsibilities. Sets performance objectives, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Initiates, develops and monitors effective performance management processes.
‐Professional development - Define a professional development framework in line with business needs and strategic direction. Define the approach to identifying suitable individuals to provide career advice and support.

【Supervisor Responsibilities】
‐4 FTE Direct Reports (One of them is Japan IT Finance Lead)
‐5 FTE Total Team Headcount (with potential to increase to 7-15 members in the future).
‐This position is a Director (depending on experience, there is a possibility of being hired as a Senior Manager)

【必須要件】
<Education>
Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance), Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related fields.
<Experience>
■Specialized experience
Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a relevant IT role
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large scale budgets in a matrixed organization.
Familiarity with the various categories of IT spend at the appropriate and corresponding GL account level.
Expert knowledge of technology solutions and technical capabilities as well operations, people, and processes.
Experience in the Medical industry, either in a Consulting Company or directly in a Life Science Healthcare Company preferred.
Experience of the outsourcing migration preferred.
■Management experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing staff, including work review, performance reviews and day-to-day coaching.
Experience in successfully managing teams and Executive stakeholders in multiple geographies.
