Deputy R&D, QARA, Manufacturing and Repair Solutions Lead

The Deputy Solutions Lead for their assigned domain businesses is responsible for directing the creation and provision of business application services to meet the needs of the assigned domain businesses for current, new and enhanced technology. This role has accountability for all technology solutions provided by Global IT to Olympus’ assigned domain business areas.


Acting as the trusted technology advisor to the business leaders in the assigned domain businesses, the Solutions Lead for the assigned domain ensures that Global IT provides responsive and innovative IT and technology services to the assigned domain businesses. The Solutions Lead plans, directs and coordinates the design, development (build/configuration/customization, testing), delivery and ongoing support of those technology services via projects and programs of work to meet the assigned domain businesses’ objectives and maximize business benefit.

【PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES】
■Technology Planning

・Drive accurate and timely forecasting of application technology needs and activities across the assigned domain businesses.
・Champion a relentless focus on technology cost reduction in the global and regional assigned domain businesses, and act as a gatekeeper to ensure that new technology capabilities/programs/projects do not unnecessarily increase costs.

・Support the Business Relationship Management function in educating the global and regional assigned domain businesses in the possibilities offered by technology and communicating the imperatives of reducing the cost of technology to the assigned domain businesses.


■Portfolio Management
・Working with Global IT’s Business Relationship Management and IT Strategy & Transformation functions, as well as the assigned domain businesses, support the prioritization of the portfolio of IT and technology programs and projects.

・Direct the portfolio of global and regional assigned domain businesses’ IT and technology programs and projects through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they align to the overall assigned domain businesses’ strategies and priorities, and are delivered to time, cost and quality standards.

■Program and Project Management
・Direct the delivery of all technology programs and projects for Olympus’ assigned domain businesses in line with the business agenda through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements.
・Ensure, through sponsorship, that all global and regional assigned domain businesses IT and technology program and project activities are cost effective, of the highest quality, are delivered on time and meet the businesses’ needs.
・Take overall responsibility for technology program and project budgets agreed with the assigned domain businesses in order to achieve an acceptable level of risk and return for the business activities in-line with agreed business plans.
・Monitor the delivery of new or enhanced application technology solutions through the Solution Development Lifecycle (SDLC), to ensure that they meet the requirements of the assigned domain businesses and will deliver target capability and benefits.
・Establish and manage program and project teams to design, deliver and maintain business solutions for the assigned domain businesses.


■Service Delivery
・Direct and manage the delivery of global and regional assigned domain business live operational application technology services in-line with agreed business service levels.
・Maintain the stability and integrity of all deployed application technology services to ensure optimal availability of the global and regional assigned domain businesses’ platforms.
・Provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support for global and regional assigned domain business end users.
・Direct, monitor and report the Global IT organization’s performance in a consistent, meaningful and accurate manner to global and regional assigned domain businesses senior management.

■People Management
・Lead, motivate, develop, and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.

【MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS】
■Education
・Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, applicable certification (or equivalent and related experience preferred).
・Project Management certification preferable.
・Enterprise Business Applications certification preferable.
・System Integration Technologies training and certification preferable.

■Experience
・Specialized experience
・Minimum 10 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying IT projects.
・Extensive experience in business-facing roles with the assigned domain.
・Significant experience in agile development with specific Solution Architect (or similar) experience preferred.
・Demonstrable experience working with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Design Leads and the rest of technical teams.

■Management experience
・Minimum 10 years of experience in managing staff, including work review, performance reviews and day-to-day coaching.
・Experience in successfully managing teams and Executive stakeholders in multiple geographies.
・Experience managing technical priorities within the backlog.

8:45〜17:30 (休憩:昼45分)

1200万円〜2000万円
