Attache to the Global Head of GIS Operation & ISC

職務内容/Job duties 【職務内容】
(雇入れ直後 / Immediately after hiring)

■PURPOSE/SUMMARY
The Attache to the Global Head of GIS Operation & ISC will provide high-level support to the Global Head
in structuring and executing activities across the supply chain function. This role involves extensive
coordination with internal and external stakeholders, assisting in the development and implementation
of GIS strategies and ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will
possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of
supply chain operations and strategic management.

■PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1)Strategic Support:
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives and transformation programs and building top-notch
PMO structures.
- Structure complex and unstructured issues and problem statements, involve necessary stakeholder
and business owner, coordinate solution finding process and execution of problem solving.
- Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive alignment and decision-
making.

2)Leadership Support:
- Coordinate global ISC Leadership Team in the name of Global Head, coordinate and manage and
activities across the team and within the leaders.
- Ensure adherence and fulfilment of company processes like strategy and priority planning, budget
planning and reporting, people and HR related processes and activities.
- Proactively identify topics that need leaders attention or action, work closely connected to the ISC
Leadership Team and in close collaboration with the Head of Supply Chain Strategy and Excellence.

3)Communication and Coordination:
- In addition to being the communication point contact for ISC head, serve as a liaison between the Global Head and other departments, ensuring effective
communication and collaboration.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Preparation of leadership meetings. Facilitating or leading meetings in the absence of ISC head.
- Ensuring there is follow up on action items to drive results and escalate any concerns.
- Working closely with all global functions, ISC departments and EA on all ongoing topics

4)Analytical Support:
- Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Gather and analyze data on supply chain performance, identifying trends and opportunities for
improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to present findings and recommendations.

5)Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Support the Global Head in engaging with external partners, including suppliers, customers, and
industry organizations.
- Facilitate best practice sharing and collaboration across the global ISC network.

6)Administrative Duties:
- Work in close collaboration with the Global Head’s Executive Assistant to manage outcomes.
- Maintaining overview of what topics are on hand, influencing outcome of critical topics.
- Awareness of routine/ calendar events concerning ISC Head and global ISC leadership team.
- Handle correspondence and communications on behalf of the Global Head together with the EA.

■STRATEGIC AND LEADERSHIP ELEMENTS

1. Leadership – The candidate will be the central responsibility in bringing together the leadership team under Head of ISC. Ensuring alignment of VPs through high quality facilitation and cooperation.

2. Structuring issues on short and long term horizon– GIS ISC is the function that drives operations to ensure supply to the largest business unit in Olympus. The role will require short-term tactical thinking to flexibly address any major immediate supply chain issues, whilst keeping sight and shaping the future of operational sustainability.

3. Management Communication – The communication cicle will not be limited to the ISC internally, the role will require close communication with senior members (SVPs, Executive Officers) of the CMSO organization, and externally to Business Units, Quality, and R&D functions. Internal networking and relationship building with fellow Attaches & Chief of Staffs will be crucial to the role in coordinating GIS ISC Head’s priorities, and timely action of the ISC group.

4. Sounding board to GIS ISC Head, and -1s – the Become the first point of contact for constructive discussions, ranging from high-level ideas, resolving complex issues, organizational discussions, to confidential personnel matters

5. Act as closest ally to GIS ISC Head – Assist in ensuring Head’s visibility of relevant business areas, escalate issues, and awareness of organizational health and personnel wellbeing on the ground. Alert Head of any gaps in understanding/alignment, suggest and provide timely feedback on “soft” or ”human” side of leadership

応募資格/Qualifications ■MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

◆Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

◆Experience
・Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related role, with a strong understanding or supply chain processes and strategies, relevant supply chain frameworks, process management techniques, and notation standards is required.
・Experience with MedTech/ related industries and/ or leading consulting companies is preferred.

◆Skills
・Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
・Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
・Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
・High level of discretion and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information.
・Self-motivated, open minded and change affine and ability to lead and empower cross-functional (virtual) teams.

◆Other Considerations
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.

・Ability to travel as needed.
