Acting at the forefront of open innovation, this role integrates internal and external expertise to implement value that does not yet exist in the market. 【Key Responsibilities】 1. Realizing Innovation and Driving Technical Breakthroughs ・Providing technical guidance: Leverage your expertise to lead R&I project teams, providing clear guidance on complex technical challenges. ・Innovative problem-solving: Identify project bottlenecks and propose/execute the next steps based on unique analysis and logical reasoning. ・Leading multi-criteria decision-making: Use multi-dimensional matrices, such as performance, cost, and reliability, to logically derive optimal solutions and gain stakeholder alignment. 2. Building Ecosystems and Circulating Global Knowledge ・Promoting open innovation: Evaluate and select global startups, research institutions, and technology providers as partners. Deeply understand their technology roadmaps and align them with Valeo’s strategic goals. ・Resource management: Collaborate with internal specialist teams (calculation, simulation, testing, etc.) to optimize resource allocation and accelerate projects. ・Knowledge cross-fertilization: Share insights gained from R&I across the organization to stimulate technological innovation beyond departmental boundaries. 3. Intellectual Property Strategy and Protection ・Formalizing inventions (IDM): Develop patent mining strategies to protect innovative ideas and lead the filing of invention disclosures. ・Ensuring FTO (Freedom to Operate): Conduct meticulous analysis to avoid infringement on third-party rights and ensure business safety. 4. Technology Watch and Roadmap Development ・Intelligence activities: Conduct thorough analysis of competitors’ products and patents, and explore opportunities to transfer technologies from adjacent industries (consumer electronics, aerospace, etc.) into the automotive domain. ・Defining the future: Participate directly in roadmap planning for next-generation product development (TDP) to shape future industry standards. 【Attractive Points of This Position】 ・Access to one of the world’s largest R&D budgets and networks: Leverage Valeo’s global resources as your own strategic assets. ・Practice of Management of Technology (MOT): Drive technology from a business perspective?not just R&D?covering IP, market analysis, and partnership development. ・Diversity: Collaborate daily with professionals from diverse nationalities and backgrounds in a highly stimulating environment.  応募資格／Qualifications 必須要件: ・修士・博士号、または同等の高度な技術的バックグラウンド（光学、物理、電子、材料工学等） ・製造業（特に自動車、光学機器、精密機器）におけるR&Dまたは先行開発の実務経験（10年以上目安） ・ビジネスレベルの英語力: Valeoグローバル拠点や海外パートナーとのハイレベルな技術議論・交渉・ドキュメンテーションにおいて、言語の壁を感じさせない実務遂行能力 求める人物像: ・自身の専門性に閉じず、ビジネスインパクトを意識した技術開発ができる方 ・不確実な状況下でも、論理的思考に基づき果敢に決断を下せるリーダーシップを持つ方 Required Qualifications： ・Master’s or Doctoral degree, or equivalent advanced technical background (e.g., optics, physics, electronics, materials engineering). ・Practical experience in R&D or advanced development in the manufacturing industry (preferably automotive, optical devices, or precision instruments) ? roughly 10+ years. ・Business-level English proficiency: capable of conducting high-level technical discussions, negotiations, and documentation with Valeo’s global offices and international partners without language barriers.
